Unlined, with cotton sweatband. White makers label marked, “Size 7,
Adjustable Engineers Cap Co., Cont. W-669-QM-12961, Dated Aug. 19 1941,
Spec. No.-8-114A Type II, Dated Feb 19, 1941, Stock No.-73-C-18010,
Phila. Q.M. Depot.” There is a shadow where there was once a price
tag, (nothing serious), and insignificant soil from handling and

2UH-17. A general purpose, medium-weight, six-panel, olive green HBT,
low profile baseball hat worn by U.S. Naval Aviators and Naval Aviation
Mechanics. The cap has a wide, flexible, visor; the underside of the visor
is covered with a deep green cotton twill material. All of the interior
seams are covered with olive green HBT material; the ¾-inch wide sweatband
is made of a cotton whipcord material. The interior is inked stamped,
“U.S.N. Cont. NXsx-95449, 7-1/4;” (size). Unused condition. $36.00

"New Old Stock" heavy khaki, OD-3 WW2, cotton web, chinstrap with
blackened brass arrow buckle and hook catch as used on the U.S. M1 combat
helmet in the early part of the war. This strap is in new, unused,
condition; it has never been applied to a helmet. This UNUSED, UN-SEWN,
UN-CUT, FULL LENGTH, chinstrap is complete with all blackened brass hardware
ready to be sewn onto a helmet or collected simply as a complete, scarce
example of an early war khaki, OD-3, cotton web M1 helmet chin strap. Very
seldom, if ever, seen in this original, unused, full-length condition. Very
scarce, pristine condition. Guaranteed WW2 manufactured chinstrap.

"New Old Stock" heavy olive drab, OD-7 WW2, cotton web chinstrap
with blackened brass arrow buckle and hook catch as used on the U.S. M1
combat helmet from approximately 1943 through 1945. This strap is in new,
unused, condition; it has never been applied to a helmet. This UNUSED,
UN-SEWN, UN-CUT, FULL LENGTH, chinstrap is complete with all blackened
brass hardware ready to be sewn onto a helmet or collected simply as a
complete, scarce example of a 1943-1945 M1 helmet chin strap. Very seldom,
if ever, seen in this original, unused, full-length condition. Very
scarce, pristine condition. Guaranteed WW2 manufactured chinstrap.

(Herringbone Twill), Cap, - Full Specification Tag - Size 7-1/2 –

2UH-22. This specimen is constructed of, medium olive colored, (OD
shade 7), herringbone material with, eight, un-stiffened pleats; each side
has, two, OD painted metal vent grommets and there are seven rows of
stitching on its, short, (1-3/4-inch wide), flexible visor. The un-lined
interior has an HBT material sweatband, which is ink stamped 7 1/2; there is
a full, and completely legible, white cloth, specification label sewn under
the sweatband, the label reads, “Caps, Herringbone Twill, O.D. Shade 7,
Size 7 ½, Levine Hat & Cap Co. P.O. No. 10776, Dated January 13, 1943,
Spec. No. 6-326, Dated Nov. 27, 1943, Stock No. 73-C-25747, Phila, Q.M.
Depot.” The hat has not been laundered, it retains all of its original
color; there are no rips, tears, holes or other damage; the interior
sweatband exhibits slight and insignificant signs of soil indication the hat
was worn only a few times; the exterior is in beautiful condition. The hat
is moderately wrinkled from years of storage. Size 7-1/2, (finally one in a
wearable size). Unfortunately, the color in the image is way off. A
difficult cap to find in this size and condition; you will be very pleased

Army Enlisted Man’s Khaki Cotton Service Cap

2UH-23. Khaki cotton twill service cap cover, over cap frame. Russet
brown, patent leather chinstrap with two, crudely stamped, gold metal side
buttons. Russet brown, leather-like, oilcloth visor with dark
green-checkered fabric on underside. Two piece, crudely stamped, brass
enlisted man’s cap insignia on the front. Brown oilcloth sweatband,
removable stiffener. Unlined interior, partial sweat shield with plastic
protector over makers name, “ The Gordoria (??) Caps, (makers label not
completely legible). White makers label with size tag, “7-1/8,” attached
to back center of the sweatband. The insignia and buttons are quite crude,
the russet brown, leather-like, oilcloth visor material is cracked and
chipped, in some spots, on the leading edge. Light to moderate
spots of soil on tan fabric, (not too bad looking). Interior is very lightly
aged; hasn’t seen very much use. Vg. $48.00

Olive
drab wool serge side cap piped in Army Signal Corps, orange & white
colors, (straight pattern). The interior is unlined and has a, wide, OD
cotton twill sweatband, which is stamped with the owners initial and service
number, "H-3076." No specification label; the sweatband is
stamped, "7," (size). The hat is clean inside and outside and has
no visual signs of age or wear. Excellent. $22.00

2UH-25. Olive drab, cotton, herringbone twill cap with eight sewn
pleats; two small OD metal vent grommets on each side; eight rows of
stitching on the visor; unlined interior with a darker color HBT sweatband,
which is stamped with the owners Initial and last four serial numbers, (the
stamp is not legible); no other markings. The material exhibits minor signs
of age and wear, no rips, tears, holes or soil. Small size. A very nice

orange colors, (checkered pattern). Unlined, cotton twill sweatband. No makers or size tag,
however, might be as big as 7-1/4. Very slight signs of age from storage,
otherwise, just about mint, unused condition. Any
large dark areas
you might see, in the image, are shadows created by the scan, not physical
blemishes.

2UH-27.
Khaki
cotton side cap piped in orange and black for US Tank Destroyer Troops,
(straight line pattern).
Unlined, cotton twill sweatband. No tags or size marks. There are several
marks on the sweatband and inside the cap, comprising of several laundry
marks, the owners name, which appears to be “skor???,” as well as, the
initial and partial serial number “S6643,” and some ink stains. The cap
exhibits some light to moderate soil marks from handling and actual use,
otherwise, overall Vg. Tank destroyer piped caps are very difficult to
acquire. Small size. Any large dark areas you might see, in
the image, are shadows created by the scan, not physical blemishes. $42.00

U.S. M1 Combat Helmet & Liner With OD Straps & Swivel Bale - Near
Excellent Condition

2UH-28. The exterior of the steel pot exhibits 98%, or more, of its
original WW2 period, coarse finish, matte olive green paint displaying minor
scuffs, rub marks and surface scratches from storage and handling. The
interior of the steel pot retains 98% of its original matte olive green
paint, which exhibits light to moderate, scuff marks that are evidence of
the liner being taken out and put back in several times. The metal edge trim
is seamed in the front and it has light to moderate chips and scuffs on its
painted surface. The olive drab cotton chinstrap, with blackened metal claw
hook and arrow buckle, is sewn onto the helmet through a flexible, (swivel),
chinstrap loop; the chinstrap exhibits minor signs of age, slight fading and
insignificant soil from storage and light handling. The exterior of the
fiber liner with front vent hole exhibits 98% of its, original WW2 period,
matte green paint, which exhibits light to moderate, scuff marks and
scratches that are evidence of the liner being installed and worn inside the
steel helmet. The liner has light olive colored, (khaki), cotton webbing, as
well as light olive green colored Parkerizing on the metal hardware that
holds the liner suspension; the metal hardware exhibits very light signs of
age and insignificant wear, no rust or deterioration. The russet brown
leather chinstrap with blackened metal hardware is in near excellent
condition exhibiting light signs of age and light use; it’s intact, supple
and completely serviceable. There is a light olive colored, (khaki), cotton
web nape strap attached to the webbing at the back neck area of the liner,
the strap has four blackened snaps and an adjustable blackened metal buckle.
The strap exhibits light age; it’s manufactured marked and dated 1945. The
leather sweatband is in excellent condition, it may have touched someone’s
head maybe a few times; it exhibits very minor and insignificant age, as
well as, light and insignificant soil from light handling and storage,
it’s a beauty. The metal clips on the sweatband have a green painted
finish and the adjusting buckle is blackened metal. The interior of the
liner is marked with embossed monogram letters, “MSA,” which is the logo
for the Mine Safety Appliance Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Overall the
helmet and liner is in near excellent condition and would be a great
addition to any collection. $175.00 SOLD

Army Enlisted Man’s Khaki Cotton Service Cap

2UH-29. Khaki cotton twill service cap cover, over cap
frame. Russet brown, patent leather chinstrap with two, crudely stamped,
prong backed, brass side buttons. Textured russet brown, leather visor with
dark green-checkered fabric on the underside. Two piece, stamped, brass
enlisted man’s cap insignia on the front. Cream colored leather sweatband
and removable stiffener. Unlined interior with a textured white sweat shield
that is attached to the stiffener. “7-3/8,” paper size label is glued to
the back center of the sweatband. Approximately
three quarters of the stitching on the sweatband has deteriorated and is
detached. This can be repaired, however, the hat displays quite nicely
without any additional restoration. Very minor signs of soil from handling
The hat has managed to retain its classic shape; it’s very clean and does
not appear to have seen any use. Overall excellent+ condition. $65.00

lightweight cotton material helmet cover in the WW2 camouflage pattern with
a 5/8-inch wide olive green band, looped for attaching foliage. Very tight
camouflaged mesh material hangs from cover to completely camouflage head and
face. Worn over the M1 combat helmet; long, thin, olive green cotton straps
on each side are designed to be tied under the arms to firmly secure the
veil to the user. Does not
appear to have been used. Excellent. $35.00
