| Canvas Carry Bag For
M4
Lightweight Gasmask |
 |
3UPB-31. A medium-weight, expandable bag,
constructed of dark olive drab cotton canvas with light colored olive drab,
(khaki), cotton web, integral, shoulder strap; the three male studs for the
lift-the-dot closure are attached to light colored olive drab, (khaki),
cotton web straps, as well. The bag has one large central pocket and three
smaller interior pockets that hold the components of the M-4 Lightweight
Gasmask. The bag has a large flap closure that is secured by three blackened
metal lift-the-dot closures; the male portion of the lift-the-dot closures
are brass, the remaining hardware on the bag are blackened steel or
blackened metal alloy; there is a metal grommet drain hole on the bottom of
the bag. The metal hardware is not rusted or worn; it retains approximately
98% of its original blackened finish. The front of the flap is lightly
stamped with, “US,” and the Chemical Corps symbol, the bottom front of
the bag is lightly stamped, “Army Lightweight Service Mask.” The
exterior of this specimen is clean, it exhibits virtually no signs of any
age or use; it’s not faded and retains its original color; it does not
have any rips, tears, holes, frays or other damage. The interior is very
clean, however, it exhibits very minor and insignificant signs of soil on
the white padded areas, probably from the gas mask it once contained.
Somewhat of a difficult bag to find. NO MASK. A very nice example that did
not see much use and was very well taken care of over the years.
Excellent. $36.00 SOLD

| Canteen Cover - G. & R.
Co. 1941 |
 |
3UPB-32. Light olive colored cotton canvas canteen
cover with khaki trim, (not faded), and gray felt lining.
Strong “U.S.” stamp on front. Blackened brass “lift the dot”
fasteners and steel wire hook hanger. Crisp markings on backside, “G.
& R. 1941.” Extremely minor signs of age; a little wear to the surface
color on a small area on the bottom front, may have been used a few times.
Some light soil spots, most of them probably from storage. The blackened
finish on the brass hardware is aged but 98% intact; no signs of verdigris,
the wire hook is overall rusted. The backside is stenciled with an, early,
officer’s serial number, “O-904755. A
very good looking cover. Excellent.
$38.00 SOLD

| Musette Bag With Shoulder
Strap - Light OD (Khaki) Canvas - 1943
|
 |
3UPB-33. A
medium weight expandable bag/pack, constructed of, light colored, olive drab,
(khaki), cotton canvas with slightly darker, cotton canvas trim. Four
interior compartments, one, medium size buttoned pocket on the side and
another buttoned compartment across the back. Large flap closure with two
buckle straps, and a, faded, but moderately strong U.S. stamp on front.
Blackened metal hardware used throughout. This classic WW2 musette bag can
be attached to the “D” rings on the combat harness or slung over the
shoulder by using its attached shoulder strap. This specimen exhibits light
signs of age and use; it’s not faded and retains most of its original
color; it does not have any rips, tears, holes, frays or other damage;
it’s moderately overall soiled, and has, several, small, light brown
colored spots; the backside has slightly heavier areas of even overall soil
but still on the moderate side, (an even overall soiling that’s not
confined to on spot); The inside of the bag is clean. The metal hardware is
lightly aged and retains most of its original black finish; there are rust
spots on the metal tips of the two front straps and one of the buckles on
the backside has transferred a line of rust in the cotton strap, nothing
unsightly or damaging. The manufacturers name, and date, on the underside of
flap is lightly stamped and not legible, however, the “1943” date can be
seen. The adjustable shoulder strap has a combination of brass and alloy
hardware, it exhibits moderate to heavy soil and moderate spots of rust. The
original owners serial number, “G-9155,” is stamped and hand written on
the strap. A very sound example that’s highly suited for reenacting,
as well as, a very satisfactory representative example, for collecting,
until, or if, a better one comes along. Musette bags are eagerly sought
after and highly collected. Europe has created a big market for these bags,
consequently, they have become somewhat scarce. Low Vg. $65.00

material; however, it still retains almost all of its original light olive
drab, (khaki), color. The lift-the-dot closure and the wire belt hook retain
approximately 98% of their original blackened finish. A very nice

| First Aid Belt
Pouch - Khaki - B.A.R. Co.
1943 |
 |
3UPB-35a. Heavy,
woven khaki cotton web first aid belt pouch, approximately 5-3/4-inch wide x
3-5/8-inch high with a large, triangular shaped, flap closure. The flap has
moderately strong stamped, “U.S.,” letters and it has a single,
blackened brass, lift-the-dot closure. The backside has a blackened alloy

The pouch is extremely lightly faded, it still retains almost all of its
original light olive drab, (khaki), color. The blackened finish on the
lift-the-dot closure is mostly worn off, maybe 10% still remains; the
underside of the lift-the-dot closure has light signs of verdigris; the

| U.S. Model 1936
Combat Suspenders - U.S. Hinson Mfg. Co. 1943 |
 |
3UPB-36. Light colored
olive drab, (khaki), cotton web combat suspenders with six adjustable
straps, four on the front and two on the backside. Six blackened metal snap
hooks attach the suspenders to the pistol belt or cartridge belt, two of the
metal snaps are stamped with the, “North & Judd Mfg. Co.,” anchor
logo; two blackened metal “D” rings on the front for attaching the
musette bag. The front straps have, four, large blackened metal adjusting
buckles and two smaller black metal buckles on the backside. The backside of
the right front strap is stamped; “U.S. Hinson Mfg. Co. 1943,” the stamp
is faded but still legible. This specimen is in Vg condition and has seen
very little, if any, use. The snap hooks, buckles and “D” rings retain
90%, or more of their original finish; some of the metal parts are blackened
and some have gray Parkerized finish. Overall the metal hardware is in Vg
condition; the large buckles exhibit light to moderate spots of white age
deterioration, the other metal parts exhibit light age and minor wear to the
finish, as well as, light and insignificant verdigris on some spots,
(nothing unsightly or damaging). The webbing is in Vg+ condition; it
exhibits minor age and virtually no signs of wear or soil; there are some
small spots of rust on the webbing that has transferred from the metal parts
during storage, (nothing serious or severely detracting). The shoulder
straps on this example are different colors, (one is a greenish olive, the
other is a brownish olive); this is a natural occurrence with this
particular piece of equipment, unfortunately, the manufacturer was not
thinking of us collectors when they were assembling them. A very nice
example that has not seen much, if any, use. Near Vg+. $85.00 SOLD

| 50-Round Drum
Pouch for The Thompson Machine Gun – Made For Law Enforcement |
 |
3UPB-37. A fitted bag with a rounded bottom; not
designed for a shoulder strap; constructed completely of heavyweight, light
colored, (khaki), woven cotton web material. This type of Thompson pouch was
produced for law enforcement; it’s unmarked but it has all of the weaving
characteristics of a Mills Woven Cartridge Belt Company product. The pouch
is designed to hold, one, 50-round drum magazine for the Thompson Machine
Gun. Approximately 8-inch long x 8-1/2-inch high x 2-inch wide and has a
large rounded flap closure, which is trimmed with light colored (khaki),
woven cotton web material and has a single, blackened brass, lift-the-dot
closure. The backside of the pouch has a light colored (khaki), woven cotton
web material belt loop that is wide enough to go over any belt. The canvas
material is in excellent+ condition, inside and out; it may have once
contained a drum magazine but was not used enough to show any signs of wear.
There are very light and insignificant signs of soil from minor handling and
storage. Commercially
made, law enforcement, Thompson drum pouches are dramatically more difficult
to acquire than their military counterpart; this is a beautiful example in

cotton web,
10-pocket cartridge belt with blackened brass M1936 style “T-Buckle” closure;

| M1923 10-Pocket
Cartridge Belt - Hinson Mfg. Co. Jan 1943 |
 |
3UPB-39. Heavy-weight, light colored olive drab,
(the pocket flaps are slightly lighter color), woven cotton web, 10-pocket
cartridge belt with blackened brass M1936 style “T-Buckle” closure,
blackened brass eyelets and lift-the-dot snaps on each pocket, as well as,
blackened brass belt tips and buckle adjuster on the backside. Each pocket
has the early, internal, clip-retaining strap with blackened brass snaps. No
verdigris on the metal parts. The cotton webbing exhibits light signs of
age, as well as, light soil from handling and storage, (nothing detracting),
and has a moderately faded, but readable U.S. stamp on the front right
pocket; no frays, holes, or other damage. Approximately 50% of the original
blackened finish remains on the brass buckle; the blackened finish on the
the-lift-the dot closures is light to moderately worn; they still retain
about 90%, or more original finish; the eyelets have approximately 98%
original finish. The backside is clean and is clearly stamped, “Hinson
Mfg. Co. Jan 1943.” One backside panel is a dark olive color and the
opposite panel is a much lighter olive color; this does not appear to be a
marriage, as the age, wear and soil is overall consistent with a belt that
has always been together. It is not unusual for these belts to be made from
various colored fabrics and fabric textures and this difference is not
evident on the front side, the color of the belt is, light colored olive
drab, not the yellow color it appears in the image. A beautiful
example that was well taken care of over the years. Excellent+. $110.00

| Early, First Aid
Belt Pouch – Olive/Khaki – Dated 1940 |
 |
3UPB-40. Heavy, woven light olive/khaki cotton
web first aid belt pouch, approximately 5-3/4-inch wide x 3-inch high with a
large, triangular shaped, flap closure. The U.S. letters stamp on the front
is almost completely faded out. No frays, holes, verdigris or other damage.
The pouch has a single, blackened brass, lift-the-dot closure that retains
90%, or more, of its original finish. The backside has a blackened brass
belt hook with approximately 60%, or more original finish. The belt hook is
attached by a sewn piece of very light colored khaki webbing and, early
style, white colored stitching is used on about half of the sewn surfaces.
The makers name on the backside is pretty much completely faded out and not
readable, however, the date, “1940,” which is also quite faded, can
still be seen. The pouch is lightly faded and has minor, even, soil; it has
a very pleasing light olive/khaki color. 1940 dated first aid pouches
just don’t turn up often. A nice example. Vg+. $15.00 SOLD
