Post WW2 US Military Issue Olive Green M1 Carbine Sling
carbslingod.JPG (41598 bytes)

2UPW-18. Original, circa 1950’s, GI Issue, heavyweight olive green cotton web sling for the US M1Carbine. Blackened metal hardware throughout. Metal lift the dot closure and stud. No markings on the sling, however, the backside of the adjusting buckle is stamped with a,  “W,” logo within a circle, as well as, “USA.” The sling is in excellent unused condition, exhibiting only the very slightest signs of verdigris on one of the end tips, (nothing of a serious nature and the surface verdigris can easily be removed). An excellent accessory for your WW2 reenacting impression. Original slings are an important accessory for the US Carbine and have become very difficult to find. Don’t miss this opportunity to complete or upgrade your carbine with this beautiful unused sling. This is the real deal, you won’t be disappointed.  Unused. Genuine Military Surplus. $20.00

Set Of Four 45rpm Records, American Songs, In German For The O.S.S. By Marlene Dietrich
marlene45s.JPG (54761 bytes) 2UPW-20. An interesting set of eight songs, sung in German by Marlene Dietrich, with orchestra under the direction of Jimmy Carroll. The songs are; Lilli Marlene, Mean To Me, Annie Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, The Surrey With The Fringe On Top, Time On My Hands, Taking A Chance On Love, Miss Otis Regrets and I Couldn’t Sleep A wink Last Night. The eight songs are on four 45rpm records, in their original sleeves, in a 7-1/4in x 7-1/4in x 5/8in cardboard box with really great graphics depicting Marlene Dietrich, wearing GI wool shirt, tanker jacket GI trousers, with “O.S.S.” lettering in background. Produced by Colombia Records, made in the USA. Reverse of cardboard box explains how Marlene Dietrich entertained our front line troops throughout the war and how the “O.S.S.” beamed these particular American songs, in her German language, as propaganda, directly to the German people as well. These songs were then lost in the “O.S.S.” files. Miss Dietrich had copies of the songs and they were published post war, circa 1960’s, (?). The box is intact, there is one short split in the cardboard, on one edge and light overall wear from handling and storage, nothing detracting, otherwise in Vg collectible condition; the records and sleeves are in excellent condition. Would look great displayed with your “OSS” or “ETO” collection. Would enhance a personal items display or just play the records and savor the nostalgia.  $35.00 SOLD
Shoe Pac – Cold Weather Boot - Size 10M, (Medium or D Width), - Dated 1950
ShoePac5.JPG (50229 bytes) 2UPW-21. A 12-inch high boot with thick felt insoles and brown rawhide laces; each pair of boots comes with a two page care and use brochure. Constructed of a one-piece, molded, black rubber shoe/sole with a, stitched on, heavy black leather upper that has 5-lace eyelets and a, slightly thinner, black leather top with 4-speed-lace hooks that terminate with one set of eyelets at the top edge of the boot; the design was copied from a Pre-WW2 commercial pattern. These boots are a near exact copy of the WW2 version, which was constructed with brown leather; this example has black leather. The boots are manufactured by, “The Rubber Corporation of California” and they are marked and dated on the inside of the upper portion of the boot. The boots were designed to be worn with two pairs of wool ski socks and a felt insole; however, the boots were frequently worn, improperly and used as a marching boot which caused sever foot problems. The boots you are purchasing come folded and tied in their original 1950’s government wrapping; when they are unwrapped , they will need to be dusted and cleaned; a little black shoe polish will bring them back to their original condition. The boots are obviously unused; they are in excellent condition, however, because they have been folded all these years, the black finish, on the leather, where the boot is folded, has come off; this condition has not affected the leather, just the surface finish. The boots are quite suitable for a WW2 impression and they will go very nicely with a Korean War set-up. Unused. Excellent+++. $39.00 SOLD
