Soviet Order Of the Red Star With Photo Of Russian Captain Wearing The Order

Order of the Red Star with officer photograph.  Two inch, heavy red cloisonné star with silver center depicting Russian soldier with rifle, Communist hammer and sickle design between bottom two legs of star. Reverse of star is maker marked, as well as hand engraved number 1718893. It is constructed with a threaded post and large threaded disk to secure star to uniform. The 4-1/2in x 3-3/8in satin finished textured photograph depicts a decorated Russian officer, rank of Captain, wearing The Order of the Red Star and many other medals. The medal is in Vg+ condition, displaying light age and wear associated with handling and actual wear. The photograph is in Vg condition and has been removed from an album, as there is glue on the back.  Overall Vg.  $35.00 SOLD
Russian McDonald’s Hamburger Restaurant “Medal”

2RPW-12. Approximately 2in x 2in, thin, light weight, gilt aluminum, red and blue enameled medal suspended from a red enameled pin back suspension device, bearing the Russian word “Mockba” (Moscow).  Front depicts McDonalds “Golden Arches,” (in red enamel), when closely looked it appears to be a clown face. Tiny red star and hammer & sickle on lower front. Overall very Soviet looking. Produced in Russia, in the early 1990’s when McDonald’s was getting a foothold there.  Maker marked on backside. Front has very light scratches from handling. A very unusual Russian souvenir. Excellent.  $24.00 SOLD
