| Army BeVo Enlisted
Man Breast Eagle, Silver White Eagle on Light Gray Background |
 |
2GC-27. Silver white German Army eagle and

light signs of age, no actual wear or soil, except for a horizontal

The insignia was cut from a roll and never used. A unique variation. The
eagle is actually a light silver gray and the background color is gray.
Unfortunately the image did not come out very well, I will try to get
the colors more accurate. Vg.

2GC-31. Approximately
7-1/2-inch wide x 4-inch high, (sewn ends), heavy, golden/yellow linen
armband, with machine-embroidered black lettering “Deutsche
Wehrmacht.” Civilian persons employed by the German Army wore this style
armband, for identification purposes. For control purposes the armband was
often ink stamped by the issuing authority; this specimen has a large
“civil” looking eagle, which is flanked by two small swastikas and the
words, “Wehrbezirfs Kommando,” (I couldn’t quite make out the town
and some of the other letters are not completely legible). The front and
backside of the armband exhibit very minor and insignificant signs of age,
as well as insignificant signs of soil from handling and storage. Does not
appear to have been used. A very nice example. Overall
excellent. $42.00 |

| Luftwaffe Sports
Eagle |
 |
2GC-35. Large, black, German Luftwaffe eagle machine woven on
a white, triangular, background. The overall dimensions of the
embroidered area is approximately 10-1/2-inch wide x 5-1/2-inch high.
This insignia has been cut from a roll; the thin white material
separating the eagles on the roll is still present. This large insignia
was sewn on the front of German athletic shirts to identify the military
branch of service, of participants in sports competitions, during
gymnastics, physical training exercises and competitions. The insignia
is in excellent unused condition; it exhibits just the slightest hint of
age, as well as very minor and insignificant signs of soil on the top
edge, (almost not worth mentioning). There are folds and wrinkles,
acquired during years of storage; if you are inclined, the wrinkles can
be ironed out; there is no soil along the folds or wrinkles. A
very large and important looking insignia. Unused. Near
excellent. $65.00 |
| NSFK, (National
Socialist Flying Korps), Flying Man Sleeve/Breast Emblem |
 |
2GC-37. 3-1/4-inch
wide x 2-3/8-inch high Bevo embroidered emblem depicting a large black
swastika superimposed on a light gray colored “winged man,” design.
The emblem is machine stitched onto blue/gray wool backing. The emblem
was used by the NSFK, (Nationalsozialistische Flieger Korps), as a
sleeve emblem, as well as, a breast emblem. The man represents the Greek
mythological person, “Icarus,” who tried to fly to the sun with
wings constructed from feathers and wax; of course he flew close to the
sun and the wax melted, the feathers can apart and, as mythology has it,
he was never heard of again; Kind of ironic for the Germans to choose
Icarus for their flying corps emblem. This specimen is used and has been
removed from a uniform; remnants of original swing thread still remain;
it exhibits light to moderate signs of age and soil; the blue/gray wool
backing has a large area of moth tracking to the wool nap; no actual
holes. SCARCE. Vg. $149.00

Aircraft Equipment Administrator Specialist /Trade Badge |
 |
2GC-38.
The design is heavily machine embroidered, using, matte light gray
thread, on a 2-3/8-inch diameter, thin, blue/gray, wool/felt patch and
depicts a seven-cylinder rotary aircraft engine with a two-blade
propeller. The,
beautifully detailed, design is embroidered directly through the
wool/felt material, without the use of a backing cloth. There is one
small moth bite on the outside edge of the patch at about 10 o’clock,
as well as a few, very insignificant, bites to the top surface of the
wool knap, (nothing serious and not noticeable at first glance); the
embroidered design is not affected by the mothing. This insignia is worn
on the lower left forearm of the service and dress tunic. Very nice
quality. Unused. Not considering the very minor mothing, the insignia is
in excellent condition. $28.00 SOLD

 |
2GC-42. Russian Liberation Army, (R O A Russkaia Osvoboditelnaia
Armiia), sleeve shield; a Russian Volunteer Legion instituted in 1943.
Sort of a rogue Vlasov Army unit that eventually was dissolved on the

in many different materials and qualities. This example is printed on
white linen, which is probably the most widely used method of construction
of this type sleeve shield. Cut from a roll. Unused. Excellent
